On 16 December 2012, a 23 year old medical student Jyoti Singh was beaten and gang raped in a bus in Delhi, India. There were six others in the bus, including the driver, all of whom raped the woman and beat her friend. The woman died from her injuries 13 days later while undergoing emergency treatment in Singapore.
One of the evidences used to convict the rapists was analyzing the bitemarks that covered the face of the victim.
The incident generated widespread national and international coverage and was widely condemned, both in India and abroad. The rapists all face the death penalty...
